Starbucks has evolved their store structure and design. Instead of a classic shop with a counter and chairs and seats they have tried to change up their look. For example, In Dazaifu, Japan, Kengo Kuma's team inserted a web of elongated wooden  blocks into a retail shell on a busy road that leads to a major religious shrine. This new structure and theme of more wood and space is supposed to blend in with Ohori Park- a prized sanctuary in Fukuoka City.  Starbucks has a great idea of blending it's stores into the surrounding environment providing the people with a smooth transition into the store that reminds them of their own environment.

This is an architecture blog I created for my Intro to Architecture course I take at Burlington High School. Here you will find various links and websites that I review, critiquing the many ideas and designs other artists have created. You will also find work that I have created and photographed myself.
